Google change status for location details
Each location now shows where Google and MX disagree on a profile detail, what Google is still processing, and which changes MX has sent
This post is available in English only
This update covers the Locations area of MX. It is for teams that manage several Google Business Profiles and want to see when a detail such as opening hours, phone number or address on Google no longer matches what they keep in MX.
New
- Google status on each field. Where a field on Google differs from MX, the location page shows both values side by side with a status badge: “Google: Updated” when Google now shows a different value, “Google: Pending” while Google is still reviewing or publishing an edit, and “Google: Needs review” when both apply.
- Choose what happens next. For an updated field you can keep Google’s value (Use Google), send the MX value back to Google (Send MX to Google), send an edited value (Edit) or ignore the difference (Ignore). Sending a value goes through the same roles and approval rules as any other location change.
- Location conflict on the dashboard. A location where Google and MX disagree appears as a “Location conflict” item in the dashboard’s attention list and links to that location.
Improved
- Location change activity. Each location has a Location change activity card listing the changes submitted from MX, with their status (for example Awaiting approval, Applied or Failed) and who or what acted on them.
- Sync issue badge. In the Locations list, a location whose sync with Google needs attention carries a “Sync issue” badge.
Current limits
- MX does not change a value back on its own. Restoring your value is a manual Send MX to Google.
- MX does not send email or in-app notifications when a detail changes on Google. Check the dashboard and the location page.
- The Locations list has no separate view that gathers all locations with conflicts.
- The Location change activity card lists changes submitted from MX, not every change made on Google.
- The “Reject Google-suggested changes automatically” setting can be switched on in automation settings, but it has no effect yet.
